On Tuesday, September 21, 2004, Earl Wild underwent emergency open heart surgery at the Rhodes Hall / Ross Heart Hospital at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio after experiencing sudden chest pain, dizziness and nausea on Saturday morning September 18th. Mr. Wild was released from the hospital’s intensive (SICU) care unit on Thursday the 23rd following quadruple bypass surgery as well as surgery on his left side carotid artery that needed to be cleared. He is expected to make a full recovery.
