Schumann is probably not the first composer brought to mind in connection with this particular master of the keyboard, and it was therefore an unexpected pleasure to encounter these deeply felt, poetic performances. Wild would seem to have a real affinity with the music of this troubled romantic. There can be nothing but praise for such sensitive and technically perfect playing.
